How to connect to your Xbox via PC
Remember you cannot connect to your Xbox without having a modchip/softmod and a dashboard/application that supports FTP.
To connect to your Xbox you must create a network joining your PC and Xbox. There are 3 very simple ways this can be achieved and in this tutorial I will guide you on how to do it.
Xbox Network Connection using Hub
This is the most common/easy network configuration and is also great if you plan to add more PCs to the network.
1. Plug your network cable (RJ-45 cable) that comes from your cable/DSL modem into the uplink port of your hub.
2. Take an RJ-45 cable and plug it in to the hub and then plug the other end into your network card in your PC.
3. Take another RJ-45 cable and run it from a different port of your hub directly to your xbox.
Note: You could similar plug in a switch to the hub to give you a larger network.
Xbox Network Connection using Router
This is another common network configuration.
1. Plug your network cable (RJ-45 cable) that comes from your modem into the WAN port of your router.
2. Take an RJ-45 cable and plug it in to one of the ports on the router and then plug the other end into your network card in your PC.
3. Take another RJ-45 cable and run it from a different port of your router directly to your xbox.
Note: When plugging in the 2 cables in part 2 and 3 they shouldn't be right next to the 'uplink' port. Also if your Router has a built in Firewall you will need to look in the manual on how to forward ports and forward port 8602 on both incoming and outgoing.

Xbox Network Connection using Crossover Cable
This is the last network configuration.
Note: At least one NIC card is required for this setup
1. Plug your USB cable that comes from your modem into your PCs USB port. This should already be done, if you have a usb modem for your current internet connection.
2. Take an RJ-45 cable and run it from an installed NIC card on your PC, directly to the Xbox.
Note: You need to use a crossover cable if you are connecting to things directly but if you use a hub, switch or router you can just use a standard RJ-45 cable.
Using this type of network requires Winroute which is a firewall program for Windows.
That's it your done, so turn on your Xbox and wait for the dashboard to load write down the IP Address and then follow my FTP to an Xbox tutorial.
